The Oticon Streamer Pro is a neat little neck-worn device that makes use of TV, landline phone, mobile phone, PC and mp3 players just as easy for hearing aid users as it is for everyone else. It turns your Oticon instruments into a hands-free wireless headset - currently compatible with all wireless versions of: Alta2 Pro, Alta2, Nera2 Pro, Nera2, Ria2 Pro, Ria2, Alta Pro, Alta, Nera Pro, Nera, Ria Pro, Ria, Intiga (RITE), Agil Pro, Agil, Acto Pro, Acto, Ino Pro, Chili SP9, Chili SP7, Chili SP5, Dynamo (4,6,8,10), Epoq XW, Epoq W, Epoq V, Vigo Pro Connect, Vigo Connect, Dual XW, Dual W, Dual V, Spirit Synergy, Spirit Zest Plus, Spirit Zest Communicate, Safari 900, Safari 600, Sensei, Sensei Pro, H160v2Ti, and Synergy Sense. Excepting: CIC, CIC Power, MIC, MIC Power and ITC Power products. (may require software update).
To take calls, or to switch from a phone to another sound source, all users have to do is press a button.
With the Streamer Pro, you will be able to:
The Streamer Pro is available in two versions: An 'Open' and a 'Requires Linking' Version.
a) 'Requiring pairing' / linking by your audiologist
b) An 'open' version which will work straight out of the box and does not require pairing / linking. In making the product 'open', to avoid listening to the Streamer of somebody sitting beside you, the range of the Streamer to the hearing aid is slightly reduced and the ‘open’ Streamer Pro must be worn using the neck strap around the neck.
Apart from the mode of wearing the ConnectLine Streamer Pro, one factor that we would suggest you consider is how easy for you is it to visit your audiologist because in the event of the product being replaced you would need to re-visit your audiologist to get the replacement paired with your hearing aid.
Oticon Opn, Siya and Xceed
Oticon's Opn, Siya and Xceed hearing aids have advanced wireless technology built-in and therefore do not require the use of the Streamer Pro.
These instruments are "made for iPhone" so connect directly to iPhones and iPads (check compatibility online http://www.oticon.co.uk/solutions/accessories/connectivity/) for taking calls and streaming music. There is an Oticon ON app to allow users to also control their hearing aids with their iPhone. Android devices can connect to Opn or Siya instruments via the Android ON app, however it will not support calls or music streaming.
Further connectivity options for the Opn or Siya are: TV Adaptor 3.0 and Remote Control 3.0 (both only compatible with these aids). Opn or Siya devices cannot be used with the TV Adaptor 2.0, Phone Adaptor 2.0 or Remote Control 2.0.
