Our range of Geemarc telephones in a big long list - strangely this is sometimes easier to work through.
If you wear hearing aids we would always advise using your hearing aid with it's Loop Programme when using the telephone.
Follow this link to find out how a hearing aid 'T' pickup works?
For most hearing aids when 'T' is selected the microphone becomes dead, because of this, problems of feedback are eliminated with the result that the hearing aid(s) might be able to be used louder than usual.
Some other things to remember when purchasing a telephone.
a) If you cannot stand beside the person who will be using the phone and hold a conversation without lip reading (face towards them but cover your mouth with your hand) it is very, very, very unlikely that they will be able to use a telephone either. The quality of sound when standing beside somebody is much, much better that the sound quality when using a telephone. If this is the case we suggest having the hearing aids re-assessed/re-programmed before purchasing a new telephone.
b) Volume is not everything - many hearing aids will react in self defence to a very loud telephone by turning themselves down, just as if somebody is shouting.
c) Hearing aid wearers will get the best quality of sound when using their Loop programme.
There is a very good reason why the Geemarc 295 telephone range is a lower price point than the 595 range - they are not as loud and have less features!
