The convenient and user-friendly Nucleus 6 Remote Assistant (CR230) allows you to monitor and manage your hearing without having to adjust the sound processor. It also provides peace of mind for parents who can see at a glance if their child's sound processor is functioning correctly.
Control
Users can change programs at the touch of a single button
and also make simple adjustments to volume and sensitivity
levels.
More advanced users can adjust the sound mix for telecoil
and accessories connected to the sound processor as well as
master volume, if appropriate. Bilateral recipients can adjust
both sound processors at the same time or choose to adjust them
separately.
Because it is in constant two-way communication with the sound
processor, the remote assistant can provide real-time information
about the sound processor and the sound environment. This allows
a user or their caretakers to check the current status of the
sound processors, sound processor batteries, and automated
functions such as the auto telecoil, and FM systems.
The audio meter is useful for checking if a telecoil or FM
system is working by showing the sound levels being heard by the
sound processors.
Manage
Users and caretakers can work with their clinicians to
decide how much control they need and which configuration and
adjustment features of the remote assistant are appropriate to
their particular situation.
Alert screens displayed on the remote assistant assist with
the diagnosis and correction of potential problems with the sound
processors.
The remote assistant is designed with the future in mind
and is ready to take advantage of developments that will allow
users to exchange information with the clinic remotely.
Learn
A fully-featured practice mode allows users, caretakers and
clinicians to learn to use the remote assistant by exploring,
without any impact to hearing.
Battery
The CR230 Remote Assistant is powered by a non-removable
rechargeable battery.
The battery is charged by connecting the remote assistant
to one of the following with a USB cable:
the battery charger and the battery
charging kit
the CR200 series charging kit
a USB port on a personal computer
An empty battery takes two to four hours to charge and a
fully-charged battery should provide enough battery life for one
to two weeks (depending on how often the remote assistant is
used).
