Phonak Roger is a digital wireless technology standard - a modern alternative to fm. The Roger digital radio system operates in the 2.4GHz band, which is globally licence free, with intelligent adaptive protocols. The Roger digital protocol has an end to end audio delay of less than 25ms. A nice Roger feature is that the system is private and cannot be eavesdropped.
Roger Select Transmitter
Roger Select is a versatile microphone ideal for stationary situations where background noise is present. It is
particularly effective for small group situations, such as at a restaurant or around the dinner table at home. When placed on a table, it discreetly and automatically selects the person who is talking and seamlessly switches from one talker to another. When multiple conversations take place, the listener can manually select whom to listen to. It can also transmit the sound of multimedia devices e.g. T.V. and has wideband Bluetooth for phone calls.
Roger Pen & EasyPen Transmitters
The Roger Pen and EasyPen both offer a choice of microphone pick-up characteristics. As well as this, the Roger Pen has a Bluetooth connection for mobile phones or similar.
There are 3 different automatic microphone options:
Conference style - Place Roger Pen/EasyPen in the middle of a table to listen to a group of people.
Interview style - Hold Roger Pen/EasyPen in your hand and point it towards the person you want to hear. The microphones will zoom in on the person speaking.
Around the neck
- Use the lanyard (neckloop) to hang Roger Pen/EasyPen around the neck of the speaker you want to hear.
Up to 10 Roger Pen or EasyPen transmitters can be used in a network for group use.
