How do I identify which Phonak RIC receiver wire I have?
On the housing of Phonak earpiece receiver there is
coloured printing - blue for left and red for right. The length
or size is shown by a number (0,1,2 or 3) and the power by S for
standard, M for medium and P for power e.g. 2P.
Please note, before purchasing replacement receiver wires please
make sure that you know how to safely remove and replace them
yourself. Connevans will not accept any responsibility for any
damage to hearing aids when you replace/fit spare parts!
SDS 5.0 RIC Receiver Wires are fully
interchangeable with SDS 4.0 RIC Receiver Wires. The SDS 5.0 RIC
Receiver Wires, which use Cerustop wax guards, were introduced in
response to customer feedback about difficulties with handling
Cerushield Wax Guards used on the SDS 4.0. There is no audiological
difference between the SDS 4.0 & SDS 5.0 and they use the same
domes, so it is your choice which you use but you will need to also
purchase Cerustop wax guards for use with SDS 5.0.
